Notice of Proposed Change

The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to make a change to the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor Municipal Plan and Development Regulations for an area of land that extends behind the Golden Years seniors home on Grenfell Heights and extending southwards towards the Trans-Canada Highway.
In general terms, the purpose of this Municipal Plan Amendment No.15, 2024 is to re-designate an area of land that extends behind Grenfell Heights from “Comprehensive Development Area” to “Urban Residential” on the Future Generalized Land Use Map of the Municipal Plan; and in Development Regulations Amendment No. 20, 2024, to rezone the same area of land from “Comprehensive Development Area – Residential (CDA-R)” to “Low and Medium Density Multi-Unit Residential Zone (RM-1) ” on the Land Use Zoning Map of the Development Regulations.
The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to receive any comments or representation on these proposed changes. Anyone wishing to make a comment, objection, or representation should submit a signed statement outlining their concerns to the Development Department, Town Hall, 5 High Street, P.O. Box 439, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, A2A 2J8, or email planning@townofgfw.com by Noon, March 10, 2025.
