Accessibility Advisory Committee

Do you want to help make the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor more accessible?

The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor is looking for expressions of interest from persons interested in joining our Accessibility Advisory Committee. This Committee will be dedicated to promoting accessibility and inclusivity within the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor. We are currently in the process of creating an Accessibility Plan, and we would greatly appreciate input from those with lived experience, caregivers, and disability advocates.

The purpose of the Accessibility Advisory Committee is to gather insight and expertise from various persons, organizations, and non-profits to ensure that our Accessibility Plan reflects the needs of our community, and it will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share ideas, concerns, and suggestions.

As this is only an 8-10 member committee, only one person will be selected to represent each of the following groups: Person with accessibility challenges or lived experience with a disability (a disability includes a physical, mental, intellectual, learning, or sensory impairment), Indigenous, LGBTQ2+/Pride community, Multi-cultural community.
