Notice of Proposed Change – 42 Queensway

The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to make a change to the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor Municipal Plan and Development Regulations for land northwest of 42 Queensway. In general terms, the purpose of this Municipal Plan Amendment No.11, 2024 is to re-designate an area of land from “Natural Open Space” (NOS) to “Urban Residential” (RES) on the Future Generalized Land Use Map of the Municipal Plan; and in Development Regulations Amendment No. 16, 2024, to rezone from “Conservation” (CON) to “Residential RM-2 (RM-2) High Density Multi-Unit Residential Zone“ on the Land Use Zoning Map of the Development Regulations.
The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor has received a proposal to develop a four-unit apartment building.
The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to receive any comments or representation on these proposed changes. Anyone wishing to make a comment, objection, or representation should submit a signed statement outlining their concerns to the Development Department, Town Hall, 5 High Street, P.O. Box 439, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, A2A 2J8, or email planning@townofgfw.com by Monday, June 3, 2024.
