Integrated Community Sustainability Municipal Plan Amendment No. 26, 2026 & Development Regulations Amendment No. 34, 2026
The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to make an amendment to the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor Municipal Plan and Development Regulations, 2022-2032.
The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to make land available for residential development in order to provide much needed housing to address affordable and accessible housing situation in the community.
This 0.2 hectare site on Riverview Road (shown in map below) currently is not developed. These amendments will redesignate the land from ‘Natural Open Space’ to ‘Urban Residential’ on the Future Land Use map of the Municipal Plan and re-zone the same site from ‘Conservation’ to ‘Residential RS-2 Single Unit Small Lot Residential Zone’ on the Land Use zoning map of the Development Regulations.
The Town Council of Grand Falls‐Windsor wishes to receive any comments or representation on these proposed changes. Anyone wishing to make a comment, objection, or representation should submit a signed statement outlining their concerns to the Development Department, Town Hall, 5 High Street, P.O. Box 439, Grand Falls‐Windsor, NL, A2A 2J8, or email planning@townofgfw.com by March 13, 2026.
