The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to make an amendment to the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor Municipal Plan and Development Regulations, 2022-2032.
The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to amend the Land Use Zoning map of the Development Regulations to enable a wider range of housing options on lands already designated for residential use in the Municipal Plan. Council wishes to be proactive in allowing for higher density uses in response to the increased interest by the community. The Town wishes to address the high cost of housing and housing affordability challenges of the residents of Grand Falls-Windsor. The purpose of this is to re-zone land on Lincoln Road from Single Unit Urban Residential (RS-3) to Residential RM-1 Low and Medium Density Multi-Unit Residential.
The Town Council of Grand Falls‐Windsor wishes to receive any comments or representation on these proposed changes. Anyone wishing to make a comment, objection, or representation should submit a signed statement outlining their concerns to the Development Department, Town Hall, 5 High Street, P.O. Box 439, Grand Falls‐Windsor, NL, A2A 2J8, or email planning@townofgfw.com by January 30, 2026.
