The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to make an amendment to the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor Municipal Plan and Development Regulations, 2022-2032.
The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to make land available for residential development in order to provide much needed housing to address affordable and accessible housing needs in the community. It is proposed that a 2.5 hectare site off Lincoln Road will be redesignated from ‘Recreation Open Space’ to ‘Urban Residential’, on the Future Land Use Map of the Municipal Plan and re-zoned from ‘Recreation Open Space’ to ‘Residential RM-1 Low and Medium Density Multi-Unit Residential Zone’. There is no development currently on the land.
The Town Council of Grand Falls‐Windsor wishes to receive any comments or representation on these proposed changes. Anyone wishing to make a comment, objection, or representation should submit a signed statement outlining their concerns to the Development Department, Town Hall, 5 High Street, P.O. Box 439, Grand Falls‐Windsor, NL, A2A 2J8, or email planning@townofgfw.com by January 30, 2026.
