Please join us at the Harmsworth Public Library on Wednesday, September 23rd at 10:00 a.m. as we welcome Bernadette Shea for a presentation of Thumbin' The Rock. Thumbin' The Rock: A Newfoundland Hitchhiking Odyssey tells the story of a fourteen-day adventure taken by Bernadette Shea and her sister, Dolly. In September 2012, with a strong desire for adventure, Bernadette and Dolly-then 72 and 60 years old, respectively-set out to hitchhike around the island of Newfoundland.
