Notice of Public Hearing Rescheduling – Amendments to MICSP and Dev Regs

The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor has adopted Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan Amendment No. 5, 2023 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 6, 2023 (Cromer Avenue across from the College of the North Atlantic).
Correction notice: These amendments were previously advertised as Municipal Amendment No. 4, 2023 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 5, 2023.
A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan and Development Regulations will be held on the 18th day of January, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Fire Hall meeting room. Parking located on the Bayley Street side of the Fire Hall/Public Works Depot.
In general terms, the purpose of these amendments is to re-designate an area of land from “Recreation Open Space” to “Commercial” on the Future Generalized Land Use Map of the Municipal Plan and rezone an area from “Recreation Open Space” to “Commercial Highway” on the Land Use Zoning Map of the Development Regulations in order to provide more land for highway commercial uses.
Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation shall deposit with the Town Clerk of Grand Falls-Windsor, two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation not fewer than 2 days before the date set for the public hearing.
