Notice of Public Hearing – Amendments to MICSP and Dev Regs

The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor has adopted Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan Amendment No. 12, 2024 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 17, 2024 for Main Street Extension.
In general terms, the purpose of this Municipal Plan Amendment No.12, 2024 is to re-designate an area of land that extends along Main Street Extension from “Natural Open Space” to “Rural Residential” and from “Industrial” to “Rural Residential” on the Future Generalized Land Use Map of the Municipal Plan; and in Development Regulations Amendment No. 17, 2024, to rezone from an area of land that extends along Main Street Extension from “Conservation” to “Rural Residential”, from “Environmentally Sensitive Area” to “Rural Residential” and from “Industrial Light” to “Rural Residential” on the Land Use Zoning Map of the Development Regulations.
A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan and Development Regulations will be held on the 19th day of February, 2025 at the Fire Hall in the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor at 5 p.m. Parking is available on the Public Works Depot side on Bayley Street.
Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation shall deposit with the Town Clerk of Grand Falls-Windsor two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation not fewer than 2 days before the date set for the public hearing. If no objection is made, Council has the authority to cancel the public hearing.
