Notice of Public Hearing – Amendments to MICSP and Dev Regs

No objections or representations concerning the Municipal Plan Amendment No. 14, 2024, and Development Regulations Amendment No. 19, 2024 were received at the Grand Falls-Windsor Town Office within the time specified in the notice; therefore, the Council of Grand Falls-Windsor canceled the Public Hearing (originally scheduled for February 19th at 7 PM) as per Section 20 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000.
The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor has adopted Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan Amendment No. 14, 2024 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 19, 2024 (Thirteenth Avenue).
In general terms, the purpose of this Municipal Plan Amendment No. 14, 2024 is to re-designate a parcel of land from “Public Use” to “Urban Residential” on the Future Generalized Land Use Map of the Municipal Plan and re-zone from “Public Use” to “RM-1 -Low and Medium Density Multi-Unit Residential” on the Land Use Zoning Map of the Development Regulations.
A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan and Development Regulations will be held on the 19th day of February, 2025 at the Fire Hall in the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor at 7 p.m. Parking is available on the Public Works Depot side on Bayley Street.
Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation shall deposit with the Town Clerk of Grand Falls-Windsor two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation not fewer than 2 days before the date set for the public hearing. If no objection is made, Council has the authority to cancel the public hearing.
