Notice of Public Hearing – Amendments to MICSP and Dev Regs

The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor has adopted Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan Amendment No. 4, 2023 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 5, 2023 (Northcliffe Street).
Correction notice: These amendments were previously advertised as Municipal Amendment No. 3, 2023 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 4, 2023.
A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan and Development Regulations will be held on the 26th day of February, 2024 at the Fire Hall in the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor at 7 p.m. Parking is available on the Public Works Depot side on Bayley Street.
In general terms, the purpose of this Municipal Plan Amendment No. 4, 2023 is to re-designate an area of land at Northcliffe Street from “Recreation Open Space” to “Urban Residential” on the Future Generalized Land Use Map of the Municipal Plan; and in Development Regulations Amendment No. 5, 2023, to rezone from “Recreation Open Space” to “Low and Medium Density Multi-Unit Residential” and to rezone an adjacent area from “Single Unit Urban Residential Zone” to “Low and Medium Density Multi-Unit Residential Zone” on the Land Use Zoning Map of the Development Regulations.
Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation shall deposit with the Deputy Town Clerk of Grand Falls-Windsor, two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation not fewer than 2 days before the date set for the public hearing. If no objection is made, Council has the authority to cancel the public hearing.
