The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor has adopted Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan Amendment No. 23, 2024 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 30, 2025 for Rezoning at 1 St. Catherine Street.
In general terms, the purpose of these amendments are to re-designate land at 1 St. Catherine Street from ‘Public Use’ (PU) and ‘Urban Residential’ to ‘Commercial’ (COM) and from ‘Public Use’ to ‘Urban Residential’, and from ‘Urban Residential (UR) to ‘Public Use’ (PU); and to rezone a portion of ’Public Use’ (PU) and ‘Low and Medium Density Multi-Unit Residential (RM-1) to ‘Commercial Neighborhood’ (CN); and ‘Public Use (PU), and Single Unit Small Lot (RS-2) to ‘Low and Medium Density Multi-Unit Residential’ (RM-1), and ‘Residential Low & Medium Density’ (RM-1) to’ Public Use’ (PU).
A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan and Development Regulations will be held on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025 at the Fire Hall in the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor at 7p.m. Parking is available on the Public Works Depot side on Bayley Street.
Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation shall deposit with the Town Clerk of Grand Falls-Windsor two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation not fewer than 2 days before the date set for the public hearing. If no objection is made, Council has the authority to cancel the public hearing.
