The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor has adopted Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan Amendment No. 24, 2025 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 31, 2025.
In general terms, Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to allow rural residential development for a property to the north of the Trans-Canada Highway between Red Cliff Road and south of the NL T’Railway corridor. The purpose of these amendments is to amend the Municipal Plan by to re-designating a portion of the property from ‘Rural’ to ‘Rural Residential ‘and from ‘Natural Open Space ‘to ‘Rural Residential ‘on the Future Land Use Map and to amend the Development Regulations to rezoning the property from ‘Rural’ to ‘Rural Residential ‘and from ‘Conservation ‘to ‘Rural Residential ‘on the Land Use Zoning Map.
A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan and Development Regulations will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at the Fire Hall in the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor at 7p.m. Parking is available on the Public Works Depot side on Bayley Street.
Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation shall deposit with the Town Clerk of Grand Falls-Windsor two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation not fewer than 2 days before the date set for the public hearing. If no objection is made, Council has the authority to cancel the public hearing.
