NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED CHANGES TO
TOWN OF GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR
MUNICIPAL INTEGRATED COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY PLAN AND
DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS (2022 -2032)
MUNICIPAL INTEGRATED COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY PLAN AMENDMENT No. 26, 2026 DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AMENDMENT No. 34, 2026
The Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor has adopted Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan Amendment No. 26, 2026 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 34, 2026.
In general terms, Town Council of Grand Falls-Windsor wishes to make land available for residential development in order to provide affordable and accessible housing needed in the community. The purpose of these amendments is to re-designate land on Riverview Road from ‘Natural Open Space’ to ‘Urban Residential’ on the Future Land Use Map of the Municipal Plan and to re-zone land on Riverview Road from ‘Conservation’ to ‘Residential RS-2 Single Unit Small Lot Residential Zone’ on the Land Use Zoning map of the Development Regulations.
A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan and Development Regulations will be held on the Tuesday July 21, 2026 at the Fire Hall in the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor at 7p.m. Parking is available on the Public Works Depot side on Bayley Street.
Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation shall deposit with the Town Clerk of Grand Falls-Windsor two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation not fewer than 2 days before the date set for the public hearing. If no objection is made, Council has the authority to cancel the public hearing.
