Labour Day Parade Committee Fundraiser – Commemorative Booklet
Posted on
Dear Community Members:
This year, with the help of the Canadian Labour Council, we have formed a Labour Day Parade Committee consisting of representatives from the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor, The Heritage Society, CUPE 1349, NAPE, former Abitibi Mill workers, and other interested members of our community. As most are aware, Labour Day has always been a big event in our town with a parade, BBQ, and family fun throughout the day. Our committee is busy making plans for this year’s 105th running Labour Day on Monday, September 04, 2023, with a goal to bring it back to its original format and ensure it is a true community event. We are hoping the residents, unions, organizations, and businesses throughout Grand Falls-Windsor will take part.
To raise funds for this year’s event we are producing a commemorative booklet that businesses, unions, organizations, and MHA’s can advertise or bring greetings in. The cost of advertising in the booklet is as follows:
- $25.00 for your business card to appear in the booklet (roughly ¼ of the page).
- $50.00 for half a page advertisement on the same page as another sponsor.
- $100.00 for a full-page advertisement in the booklet.
- $250.00 for advertisement on inside front cover or inside back cover.
- $500.00 for outside cover (back of the book) and will appear in color.
The booklet will be produced in black and white, with exception to the front and back cover which will be printed in color.
There are other ways to support our event, whether by donation of prizes or just participation! We are looking for businesses, organizations, and unions to enter a float or walk in the parade. Also, please enter your decorated bikes in the parade for a chance to win a prize. We encourage participation in all Labour Day events scheduled on Sept 4th, 2023.
If you are interested in supporting this event in any way, please contact any of the committee members listed below or email tandsgreening@hotmail.com. The deadline for advertising in the booklet is August 18, 2023. On behalf of Labour Day Committee, we would like to thank you for your continued support in this community. Stay tuned for a schedule of events!
Sincerely,
Labour Day Committee
