Labour Day Parade Committee Seeking Community Engagement and Retired Mill Employees’ Participation
Posted on
The Labour Day Parade Committee is excited to announce the upcoming annual Labour Day Parade, which will be held on September 4th, 2023, in Grand Falls Windsor. As we prepare to celebrate the hard work and contributions of the labour community, we are calling upon all community groups, businesses, and retired mill employees to join us in making this year’s parade a resounding success.
The Labour Day Parade has been a long-standing tradition in our community going back over 100 years, representing the unity and strength of the labor movement. The parade serves as a platform to recognize the efforts of all workers and their invaluable contributions to our society.
We cordially invite all interested community groups and businesses to participate in the parade by submitting floats or marching in the procession. This is a fantastic opportunity for organizations to engage with the community, gain exposure, and demonstrate their commitment to the Central Newfoundland region.
In addition to community groups and businesses, we extend a special call to retired mill employees to participate in the parade. The historic role played by mill workers in shaping our town’s growth and prosperity cannot be overstated. As we honor their legacy and dedication, we invite retired mill employees to join us in this celebration.
Participants are required to register in advance. To register, or for further information and inquiries, please contact:
