Ribs and Riders Festival

Get ready for a weekend of fun, flavor, and adventure at the Ribs and Riders Festival from August 23-25, 2024, at Shanawdithit Centennial Park in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL!

Join us for a three-day festival filled with delicious ribs, an exciting trail ride, fantastic music, and the chance to meet DONNY LOVE from Adventures Unknown on NTV! Donny and his crew will be filming throughout the weekend, capturing the essence of Ribs and Riders for an upcoming episode!

Admission to the field during Festival is ABSOLUTELY FREE! Free Field Admission includes all of the entertainment, the Teddy Bear Picnic and the bouncy castles. The only cost is the purchasing of food or drink from the vendors. All purchases are made directly from the vendors themselves, with the exception of beverage tickets at the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor bar in the 19+ section of the field.

The ATV Package is separate, and any events related to the ATV Package are marked in the schedule of events as “ATV PACKAGE TICKET HOLDERS ONLY”.

Tickets for the ATV Package include a Friday Meet and Greet, a Guided Trail Ride and Buffet Lunch, and a VIP Tent Experience for a Rib Feast with live entertainment! *UPDATE (Aug 23, 10:40 AM): Unfortunately due to the weather forecast, the Bouncy Castles will not be set up at the field today. Tonight’s Concert, featuring RECALL, is still slated to go ahead.

To register, call 709-489-0450. Bring your blanket and Teddy Bear to the Teddy Bear Picnic at Shanawdithit Centennial Park! Find the hidden teddy bears on the field, add up the numbers on the bear bellies, and bring the secret number to the organizers to get your free picnic snack basket. Teddy bear hospital! Teddy bear tunes on the stage at 12:30 to get our little bears dancing! Lots of fun to be had!

Rib Eating Contest

Register at the field on the day-of. $20 per person to enter. Maximum of ten people. How many ribs can you devour in 8 minutes? We are looking forward to watching our participants find out! After the bone count, we will declare a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd winner for prizes and, of course, bragging rights! Two categories: Male and Female. (Additional contests may be added at a later date)
