Public Consultation – ATV & Snowmobile Trails

The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor is inviting the public to attend a public consultation on ATV and Snowmobile trails, to be held at the Mount Peyton Resort and Conference Centre on Monday, October 3rd, 2022, starting at 6:30 PM.

The Town has been conducting a review of potential improvements to existing trails, including the addition of trail sections that can help to improve access for both resident and visitor users of ATVs and Snowmobiles, to trail heads and amenities.

Improving public safety is an important aspect of the changes which are being considered, in addition to efforts to reduce any negative impact which ATV and Snowmobile traffic may have on residential and commercial areas where trail easements are located.

This review has included road crossings and the consideration of allowances for licenced ATV users to travel along specified sections of road where there are no easements to develop off-road trails.

The Town would like to share the objectives which have been defined to date, as we work towards the adoption and implementation of changes that we expect will increase the value derived from improvements to our ATV and Snowmobile trails.
