It’s the 7th Anniversary of Fill It Up With Food!

In 2015, Jack Kelly-Brinston wanted to earn a Northern Lights Award in Beavers. With the help of his younger sister Gabrielle, he wanted to organize an event where the entire community could donate food for those in need. Mayor Barry Manuel fully supported the kids’ idea and together they made a plan so the Town could help them make their vision happen. With that, Fill It Up With Food was born, and to date has collected thousands of food donations!

Now, Fill It Up With Food is back!

Starting Tuesday, May 21st, and running until May 31st, residents can drop off NON-PERISHABLE food donations to the Town Hall Front Lobby (open Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM). As in past years, the goal is to “fill up” the lobby, so every donation helps!

We will also be collecting non-perishable food items from attendees at the upcoming Welcome event on May 23rd and the 90’s event on May 24th. All donations are greatly appreciated.

We hope that our community will show their support to this fantastic fundraiser by making donations to help our community handle the increased demands on our food bank resources.
