Christmas Park Light-Up

Due to forecasted rain, the Christmas Park Lightning is postponed until Sunday, December 8th, 2024. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We’re happy to let everyone know, however, that this rescheduling means that The Grand Falls Citadel Salvation Army Band will be playing and singing during the event! Thanks to the Band for partnering with us.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
On *Sunday, December 8th, 2024*, we will be ringing in the Christmas season at Church Road Park, with live entertainment, a family scavenger hunt, and our Christmas Hut which will be serving FREE homemade cookies and soup, popcorn, and hot chocolate**.
In the festive spirit of giving, we will be partnering with the Grand Falls-Windsor Bishop’s Falls Community Food Bank and the Exploits Community Centre to collect personal care items (ex. soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, etc.) that will be shared between both organizations.
Many thanks to Calibre Mining for their sponsoring of our park lighting and the use of their truck to collect the donations! Let’s fill it up!
Make sure to bring your letter for Santa’s Mailbox, and an ornament to hang on our Community Tree!
Event will begin at 6:00 PM. Please be sure to dress for the weather.
Please note:
- Church Road will be closed to traffic beginning at 5:00 PM due to the park lighting.
- Mascots will NOT be on-site for this event.
**In an effort to be more environmentally responsible, we kindly ask that you bring your own mug for hot chocolate.
