Fall Programming 2023

Tots and Tykes (Ages 0-3)

Tots and Tykes is designed to help your growing toddler learn how to play and socialize with others in an unstructured indoor play area. The program will be held at the Corduroy Brook building in the Wetland room. The room will have areas designated for: climbing, crawling, jumping, pretend play, and more! The best part? It’s completely up to your toddler to pick what they want to do!
Mondays, 9:30-11:30 AM
Program runs from November 20-December 18, 2023
Registration is $60.00 per family (includes up to 4 children) for an entire 5-week session. All materials required for this class are included in the registration fee. This program features unstructured play and parents/guardians are required to stay.

Pre-School Play (Ages 3-5)

Pre-School Play is similar to Tots and Tykes with an increased age range. Your children will learn how to play and socialize with others in an unstructured indoor play area. The program will be held at the Corduroy Brook building in the Wetland room.  The room will have areas designated for: climbing, crawling, jumping, pretend play, and more! The best part? It’s completely up to your child to pick what they want to do!

Beginner Sewing Classes

We can’t keep this news zipped up any longer! Beginner sewing classes are coming back this Fall!
The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor will be offering two beginner sewing courses on Tuesday evenings starting on October 17th and running for 8 weeks until December 5th. Students registering in Course 1 will attend classes from 6:00-7:30 PM and students in Course 2 will attend classes from 8:00-9:30 PM.
Participants will work on 5 projects over the span of their course and will learn the basics about sewing machine operation, types of fabric and how to purchase them, as well as the use of patterns and various sewing techniques, and much more!
Cost per participant is $100. Sewing Machine provided. Materials will only be supplied for project 1. Participants will be provided a materials list for the remaining projects and guidance will be given on purchasing fabric for projects.

Beginner Quilting Classes

Winter is on its way, and to help with staying cozy, we’re offering Beginner Quilting Classes this Fall!
Beginner quilting classes will start on Thursday, October 19th and will run for 8 weeks until December 7th.
Participants will work on creating their own homemade quilt over the span of the 8 weeks and will learn the basics of quilt production. Previous sewing experience is required as the basics of sewing will not be covered.
Cost per participant is $100. Machines will be provided. Participants will be provided a materials list for their quilting project and guidance will be given on purchasing fabric for the quilting project.

Due to fantastic demand, we are excited to announce that there will be a second Beginner Quilting class! The new class will start on Wednesday, October 25th from 1:00-2:30 PM and will run until December 13th.
Participants will work on creating their own homemade quilt over the span of their 8-week course and will learn the basics of quilt production. Previous sewing experience is required as basics of sewing will not be covered.
Registration will begin on October 19th at 10:00 AM here: https://townofgfw.ws.townsuite.com/events. Space is limited and seats go very quickly. Please make sure your online registration account is up and running before registration starts.
