The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor, along with the College of the North Atlantic, currently have 16 participants enrolled in an Employment Readiness Training program for the older worker. The participants are between the ages of 55 and 64 and offer a wide range of skills and life experience.
I am seeking employers in the Hospitality and Retail sector in Grand Falls-Windsor and surrounding communities to consider our participants for a 2 week job placement beginning in January.
As a sponsor for the program, the Town of Grand Falls- Windsor will cover 50% of the wage paid to the employee during the duration of the job placement based on a 24 hour work week. Also we will cover the cost if special uniform/footwear is required.
